INCREASING REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN AND MEN IN GENDER NONTRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS
The Nontraditional Employment & Training Program (NET) (a) provides assistance to community colleges in New York State to increase recruitment and retention of students pursuing career and technical Education (CTE) fields of study that are gender nontraditional; and (b) celebrates students who excel in CTE gender nontraditional fields of study
NET's mission is to generate and disseminate knowledge about GENDER NONTRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS, defined as occupations in which one gender comprises less than 25%. NET works with institutions to advance implementation of evidence-based practices that increase representation of men and women in CTE gender nontraditional fields of study.
NET is a partnership between the NYS Education Department and the University at Albany's Center for Women in Government & Civil Society.
